Dear BCMC Members, SVTOA Members, MCA Members, other local clubs, and Ford Motor Company Friends....
This is hastily put together, but the facts are confirmed....
A member of
several local (SoCal) Mustang Clubs, Robert "Bob" Penninger,
was on American Airlines Flight #77, the plane that crashed into the
Pentagon, Tuesday Morning at 9:40 am.
He was a member of the San Diego Mustang Club, The SVT Owners Assn., San Diego Chapter (SVTOA-SD), the SVTCrew, and the SVT Cobra Owners Assn., Southern California Chapter. (SCOASCC).
Our records show that he lived in Poway, CA, near San Diego.. Bob was 63, and was an electrical engineer. He is survived by his wife, Janet and daughter Karen. Approximately 3 months ago, the family lost their son, John. Three weeks ago, their mother-in-law past on, also.
The Beach Cities Mustang Club will be putting together monetary donations, to be sent directly to the family. BCMC will also send along any emails, letters, or other well wishes that you would like to have sent to them.

Bob was preregistered for this Saturday's (9/15) Saleen Mustang Car
Show in Irvine. His car will now be a special display at that show.
The Beach Cities
Mustang Club had the privilege of having Bob at our last two Mustang
Wings & Wheels Expos. We are in the process of digitizing the professionally
taken photograph of Bob sitting in his green 1999 SVT Convertible, in
front of an AH-1 Cobra Attack Helicopter (taken Aug. 26, 2001).
There have been several requests for this photograph, and we will make
it available in print and digitally as soon as we get word from the
family that this is ok. At that time BCMC will be updating it's website
start page to feature the photo.
